PERSONALITY PROFILING AND DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENTS

Identifying and leveraging your personal strengths, recruiting superior staff and efficiently managing existing human resources are the keys to personal, professional and corporate performance. However, these areas remain a very real challenge for individuals and managers alike.

In recent decades the development of diagnostic assessments (DA’s), have provided a solution platform for successfully addressing personal development, recruitment and performance related issues. DA’s replace risky guesswork with tried and proven science, working in tandem with traditional training, recruitment and performance management methodology.

As a result of their accuracy and practicality, the popularity of DA’s is growing at a rapid rate. International surveys reveal that in the 70’s 30% of businesses were utilising DA’s. In the 80’s their popularity grew to 40% and in 2000 greater than 65% of businesses were leveraging the commercial benefits of DA’s, in addition to being embraced by a growing number of private individuals. (AICD Aug 2000).

The Institute’s range of DA’s include personality style profiling and educational and occupational competency assessment. All DA’s have been developed by psychologists and recognised industry and educational specialists for use in the human resource industry, and are of incalculable value in the areas of:

  • Personal & Professional Development
  • Recruitment & Succession Planning
  • Training Needs Analysis
  • Position Description Clarification
  • Team Building and Coaching
  • Personal & Staff Counselling
  • Performance Improvement
  • Educational & Competency Assessment
  • Team Management
  • Change Management
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Legal Compliance & Defence

The Institute’s DA’s have a proven minimal predictive accuracy of 87%, however clients agree that the results are far more accurate than that predicted. The non-invasive multiple choice DA questionnaires take only 15 – 20 minutes to complete and for ease of interpretation all reports are written in lay persons terminology. The reports are often referred to by employees as “the ultimate personal and professional development guide”, and by their managers as “an essential recruitment and performance management tool.”

The personality style assessments are based on the internationally recognised standard – DISC, which assess how an individual manages problems and challenges, influences others to accept their point of view, seeks to control their environment and how they handle rules and procedures set by others. There are several versions of the personality style assessments, including:
